Packaging CocaCola + Fernet

In Argentina, there is a well-known beverage called Fernet, obtained by mixing Coca-Cola with Fernet Branca. In this project, the human senses (sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing) were the main focus. Designing packaging and a product that could engage these senses was the primary challenge.
Usually, to prepare this beverage, both drinks are purchased separately and then mixed. Each Argentine has their own way of doing it, varying the proportion of Fernet and Coca-Cola according to their preferences, such as 30% Fernet and 70% Coca-Cola, for example. We decided to create a product that already contains both beverages together. However, we faced a problem: the charm of this drink lies in mixing it at the moment, as it doesn't taste the same if mixed in advance. We decided to turn this "problem" to our advantage. Playing with the sense of sight, we chose to make our container transparent and place Coca-Cola and Fernet separately in the same container. This way, the user, with just a press and twist, would generate the mix instantly, and thanks to its transparency, they could see how this mix is made. Then, all that remained was to uncork the container and enjoy a wonderful Fernet with Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola has a well-defined brand identity that was very helpful when designing the label. However, we put a lot of effort into how our product label would look, as it is a collaboration between both brands. We blended both identities, and thus "Viajero" was born.
